How To Solve Their Biggest Problem On Social Media!

In this email I show you:

  1. Why they actually need social media
  2. How to take tons of pictures and videos, fast and easy
  3. What mistakes to avoid

WHY SOCIAL MEDIA???

So that they can maintain their sales – maybe increase them, they have to stay in the minds of their customers.

Above all, they must be dominant in the mind at the time of the purchase decision!

This point in time alone will do them no good.
In order for you to dominate the time of the purchase decision, you must have built up trust beforehand with regular contact campaigns.

And more trust than their competition, so that the contract falls on them and not on their competition. No matter who your contacts, prospects or customers are.

They always go through “the same journey” until the purchase:

  1. He realizes he has a problem
  2. Then he looks for solutions
  3. Then he finds several alternatives and examines them
  4. Then he makes a decision
  5. Then he buys

At each of these stations, they should be in contact with their customers with their values, stories, and offers. Your best competitors do that – you have to orientate yourself on them!

They are currently only visible and in contact with them on social media!
Also in B2B: i.e. if you only have corporate customers yourself, no end consumers.

Your customers are entrepreneurs, department heads, buyers:

  • Are constantly on social media
  • Regularly see the posts of their competitors on Facebook, Instagram
  • Regularly receive offers from the competition
  • Talk to their competition regularly

This is exactly how it is with potential employees and applicants:

  • They regularly look at their competitors’ jobs
  • These naturally also apply to their competitors

Here are the facts – why you should use social media seriously as soon as possible:

  • A German internet user spends 82 minutes a day on social media, that’s almost 1.5 hours – EVERY day!
  • How many users in Germany per month on social media:
  • Facebook: 32 million monthly
  • Instagram: 22 million monthly
  • YouTube: 47 million monthly

Now see the opportunity and the necessity of social media for your company!

Nowhere else do you reach so many of your customers, potential customers, and future applicants.

Nowhere else do they have such low costs.
But all your competitors in your industry have exactly the same chances.
If you are now serious about the topic of social media, then I will tell you quite honestly:

A big challenge awaits you right at the beginning: Taking photos and filming!

Many despair at this point.

But with a little structure, you can easily overcome this hurdle:

  1. First, treat social marketing as a regular task:
  2. Such as invoicing
  3. Social media must not come last, but must be a secured place in the to-do lists.
  4. Social media as a task must be handed over to the responsibility of a suitable person who reliably takes on the respective tasks, e.g. 2 – 3 hours per week.

HOW TO CREATE IMAGES AND VIDEOS IN BULK, QUICKLY AND EASILY

You should produce media in 2 ways: In-house production and External production.

You can quickly and easily create videos and images yourself:

  1. Photos: Use your smartphone to take pictures at trade shows, product launches, or company events. Everyday situations are your stage. Therefore, always think about taking pictures/videos in such situations! Mostly in portrait mode!
  2. Short videos: Use your smartphone to create 15-second selfie videos in portrait mode. Authenticity is more important here than high gloss. So don’t be cautious, always film 2 – 3 variations. More material means better selection!
  3. Teamwork: Assign 2-3 employees as a mini-media team for everyday situations as well as events. The task: Continuously (weekly) capture photos and short videos in portrait mode.

It is sufficient to allocate 15 – 30 minutes per week for this. By doing so, you will continuously produce media and have a wide selection – which is important.

Get additional visual content from your partners:

  1. Involve customers: Ask them for photos of their product usage. These images usually have the greatest impact on social media, as they build trust and authenticity!
  2. Product suppliers often have highly professional images and videos of their own. Inquire about their usage and permission, as they are usually willing to provide support!
  3. External photographer: Utilize platforms like Fiverr or search for a local photographer via Google Maps. Important: They should have experience with social media and be regularly available.

Note: Striking a balance between self-created and professional images is crucial.

  • Own images: They exude authenticity, create closeness, and evoke sympathy. They don’t need to be perfect. What matters here is the genuine, unfiltered face of your company.
  • Professional images: These emphasize the quality standards and represent the high standards of your company. They signal professionalism and elegance.

You need both sources in the long term and on a regular basis!

COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID:

Posting any random images, just for the sake of posting…

Problem: It damages your image and confuses your followers.

Solution: Always ensure that you have a selection of posts available. If in doubt, repost old good posts. It’s best to predefine 3-5 topic areas (products, employees, customers, etc.).

Not posting for a week/month because there’s no current material or no news…

Problem: You disappear from the scene.

Solution: Always have enough images/videos in stock. Set post dates in advance.

Showing the same topics (especially the same people, same products) all the time:

Problem: Interest in your posts decreases due to lack of variety.

Solution: Consciously focus on 3-5 topics to continuously produce images and videos.

Using self-explanatory or meaningless captions for images like “Had a good coffee at the morning meeting today…”

Problem: You come across as unimaginative and boring.

Solution: Tell short stories: How did the image come about? What happened before? What happened after? What is interesting about the product, meeting, etc., from the perspective of an external reader? Always take the position of an external observer. Such stories can be told in 2-3 short sentences.

Ignoring comments on your posts:

Problem: You miss out on the great opportunity to engage with customers, which is what active users want, and it signals to Facebook that your post is valuable, resulting in more exposure.

Solution: Regularly monitor your posts, especially respond to comments. It only takes a few minutes per week. This can easily be assigned to an employee. It’s about having a brief exchange of one or two sentences with the goal of initiating a conversation or scheduling an appointment, but only after a multi-part conversation.
