Add a Call to Action (CTA) and phrase it in the form of a goal or win, like “Get a free coupon.” Put the most important thing at the beginning so that it is read at all.

Finally, check the mobile view. Fewer images mean better viewing for mobile readers. Think about optimizing your newsletter for mobile, because more and more people are reading emails on their smartphones.

This is how you create a good text in 5 quick steps in less than 30 minutes – the overview:

1. Set a topic
2. Specify the destination of the mail
3. Set writing style with ChatGPT
4. Structure into sections or chapters
5. Keywords for each section

Topic:

First we determine the topic of the mail. What should the e-mail say: a product presentation or maybe a branch opening. Write the topic down, then we have a clear direction. For example: promotional email, newsletter, survey, welcome, confirmation of an action, lead generation…

Target

Next: Your goal on the noted topic. What should the reader do after reading your mail? Click a button? And what happens then? Set your goal. It should be simple, e.g. is a purchase, a visit or a registration, and write it down.

Set your writing style for ChatGPT:

Now let’s start writing. Decide on your style and write it down. for example:
Creative and pictorial: for ideas
Direct and enthusiastic: for motivating messages: participation in courses, etc.
Formal and factual: business and academic, serious
Casual and colloquial: for informal communication

If you want, you can also add a base text for the style. Insert as a prompt in ChatGPT at the beginning: “Remember the following text as the writing style for my upcoming text. When you have done that, simply confirm it with a “Yes” and describe the style. Here comes the memo text as a style template: here you add the memo text”.

Outline:

Structure your content! A list of the subject areas in the correct order is recommended.
There are countless outline concepts. Choose the right concept for your topic and goal.
Texts for sales campaigns, for example, often follow a similar pattern.
Use for example:

1. Benefits – show the benefit,
2. Possible uses – what is your product good for?,
3. Customer experiences – let others speak,
4. Offer – make an irresistible proposal,
5. Prompt – say what to do.

Many other formulas start with the problem or at least with the customer’s situation and then lead to the solution, your offer. Here are some examples:

– AIDA: attention – interest – desire – action

– PAS: describe the problem – agitation = reinforcement of the problem – solution

– PASTOR: Problem – agitation – solution – experience – offer – reaction/prompt

– 4Ps: Promise – Picture – Proof – Push

4. Ignite the turbo with AI

First you collect keywords for each of your outline points. Just think freely, write down everything that comes to your mind. If you have chosen AIDA, then you write keywords and descriptions for A, so attention: – 20% discount on …

In the following arrange your keywords one after the other and copy the keyword list into the text line of ChatGPT.

Then you ask ChatGPT to spell out the tags in your chosen style.

Important: Only ever formulate one outline point after the other. So first “Attention”, then “Interest” and so on.

Now let ChatGPT give you a convincing subject line: Enter your entire mail text and have five variants of a strong subject written for you. Spontaneously decide on a subject line that speaks to you immediately.

If you have a complete product page with all the information at hand, it gets even easier. You can just paste the link. Thanks to internal plugins, ChatGPT can read and analyze websites.

Make sure all basic information about your topic or product can be found on the website.

This includes the benefits, the features, the advantages, customer reviews and the possible uses. Just paste the page link and let ChatGPT do the rest.



5. Your personal style is important

Correcting usually means “shortening texts”, if in doubt formulate it clearly and simply. Your personal additions make the difference!

Take a break between writing and proofreading. You can often see things more clearly from a distance.

If you’re having trouble, let ChatGPT revise the text again. But please give specific instructions. What exactly should be changed and what not?

A few general tips:

  1. Always collect email addresses. A barter often works well: a price list or a voucher in exchange for the email address.
  2. Do you need short texts for Instagram or Facebook? Let ChatGPT shorten the mail texts.
  3. Use your email text in as many ways as possible: as a blog post, as a brochure text and more.
